ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONAL

Mildura Kids Clinic is seeking a full or part-time occupational therapist, psychologist, or speech pathologist to join its professional team.

The clinic has a primarily paediatric client base, consisting of children with dyslexia and related literacy difficulties, those on the autism spectrum and children with a range of developmental diagnoses.

You will be part of an allied health team comprising Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Speech Pathologists in a supportive and welcoming multidisciplinary team environment.

There is the opportunity for professional development, on-the-job learning and fostering skills in your area of interest.  Your work will include school and kinder visits in addition to work in the clinic. You will be working alongside experienced clinicians who are available for professional support and mentoring.  The members of the team work closely together to maximise outcomes for our clients.

Mildura is a vibrant regional centre on the banks of the Murray River in northwest Victoria, with a warm climate and a wide range of community and recreational opportunities. You can find out more about Mildura here.

If you are keen to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients and have a real desire to make a difference to the families of Sunraysia, then we would love to hear from you.

Applications from early-career practitioners are welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete assessments and plan and deliver support for a varied paediatric caseload.
  • Build relationships with your client base and colleagues.
  • Depending on level of experience, manage a caseload and set priorities.
  • Maintain and develop clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to intervention.
  • Develop an understanding of the various government and private sector structures that are connected to our services.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in either Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Speech Pathology.
  • Eligibility for membership of AHPRA or Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Ability to obtain child safe registrations and NDIS worker screening check as required.

Remuneration:

Salary is based on the Health Professionals and Support Services Award and is negotiable.
